Greek students of the 5th General Lyceum of Veria, Greece , on 21st Decemeber 2017 , attended a special lesson about Dionysios Solomos at the Uni of Thessaloniki at the Faculty of Greek Literature. The lesson was offered by the professor Mrs Tiktopoulou who made a great presentation about Solomos early life, first in Zakynthos and later in Cremona Italy where he was educated. The students were charmed by the professor's speech and to their astonishment, they noticed that Solomos, being bilingual , faced the same problems the today bilingual students face when they are asked to write. To make it simple, their mother tongue interferes in the new language. they think and write in the their mother tongue instead of writing in the new language.
